It helps as well to strengthen our hotel’s role in the local community while enhancing the guest experience by giving them a sense of and feel for the city. Our ties with local artists, which will continue in the future as we display different forms of local art, shows our commitment to the community and our efforts to of local artists and cultural dialogue”, says Kees Heuveling, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square.

According to the organizer of the exhibition and representative of ART CART company Solveiga Gutautė, painters Miglė Kosinskaitė, Andrius Miežis and Linas Liandzbergis create surrealist reality and the impression of dreams in the exhibition of their works at Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square. The artists’ works all share the painterly expression of subconscious surrealism and pop art, and seem to travel through different states of troubled sleep through masked faces (Miglė Kosinskaitė), fantastical creatures and episodes (Andrius Miežis) and bright geometric shapes (Linas Liandzbergis).

The Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square supports the idea that the arts are reflective of European culture, and that idea remains one of the hotel’s most important values. Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square knows that when one is choosing a holiday destination, an important factor is the art a city has to discover. One of the goals of Kempinski is to draw the attention of as many guests and locals as possible to the cultural heritage of a city and the amazing and constantly changing local art.

The guests of Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square will be able to see paintings by Miglė Kosinskaitė, Andrius Miežis and Linas Liandzbergis at the hotel‘s conference centre, hotel’s lobby lounge, restaurant and bar areas. Those searching for distinctive paintings will have the opportunity to make a purchase should they desire.
