Homemade and hot served: Our apple strudel. Several times a day, the classical Austrian dessert is baked in the patisserie for our guests - according to the secret recipe of the grandmother of our patissier Georg Hölbl. A bell rings when the apple strudel is presented in the lobby, fresh from the oven and still warm. As a side dish we offer a vanilla ice cream or vanilla sauce and powdered sugar.

At the Palais Hansen Kempinski we serve one of the best and most famous apple strudel in the city. In our apple strudel baking class, Chef Patissier Georg Hölbl reveals his recipe for the perfect apple strudel, which he inherited from his grandmother. The class takes place in the in-house patisserie. You will learn the technique of strudel dough pulling and Georg Hölbl reveals the secret of the fruity filling. We serve the apple strudel with ice cream or vanilla sauce and whipped cream. Therefore, while the strudel bakes in the oven, we prepare the delicious vanilla sauce together. After the class, you can enjoy the homemade strudel with a cup of coffee or tea in the cosy lobby lounge. Of course you will also get your apple strudel and the recipe, so you can bake the strudel at home.
The apple strudel baking class takes place every first Saturday of the month.
