The savoury selection features Thai-famous ingredients and familiar tastes, with highlights such as the Alaskan King Crab tartlet and the tangy sweetness of pomelo in the Thai sweet and sour Yum. Additionally, the famous crispy toast with a chicken satay mouse infused with fragrant spices is an absolute delight.
Equally impressive are the sweet highlights, with the light and airy Pineapple Vanilla Paris Brest boasting a sweet pineapple filling. About the Chef – Executive Pastry Chef Franck Istel
Chef Franck, a culinary artist who hails from the beautiful French city of Strasbourg. His journey as a chef began at the young age of 15 when he started his apprenticeship as a cook. Inspired by the magic of pastry-making, he spent the next four years mastering the art of pastry and bakery to earn his diplomas in both fields. At just 21 years old, Chef Franck opened his own bakery and pastry shop and honed his skills as a master chef for two years. But his passion for adventure and culinary exploration led him to embark on a journey of discovery that would take him around the world.
From the idyllic French island of St-Pierre et Miquelon to the vibrant city of Beijing, Chef Franck has worked with some of the world's most prestigious luxury hotels and resorts. He has been instrumental in opening and training the culinary teams of several luxury properties around the globe, crafting signature menus, and setting new standards in the world of fine pastry and bakery.
Chef Franck's passion for excellence has earned him a reputation as a culinary pioneer, and his collaborations with luxury brands have been nothing short of extraordinary.
