More than a moment captured
In collaboration with the contemporary Austrian artist Leo Stopfer, the Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna presents the exhibition "more than a moment captured" in the lobby lounge and bar of the luxury hotel. Celebrated as a painter of ballet stars, the aesthetics and grace of classical ballet and the plasticity of the human body are at the centre of Leo Stopfer's work.
LEO STOPFER has dedicated his artistic work to ballet and conveys the beauty and grace of this art form in a unique way in his paintings. He is the only painter in the world to have had the privilege of working with the world's greatest ballet stars, including Diana Vishneva, Daria Klimentova, Ketevan Papava, Silvia Azzoni and Kiyoka Hashimoto, all of whom can be admired in his current exhibition at the Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna.
The artist creates his works together with the ballerinas backstage and in the studios of the world's best theatres and opera houses, be it in Paris, London, Vienna, Monaco, Berlin or Moscow.
The Palais Hansen Kempinski has been working regularly with Leo Stopfer since 2019. Ballet is not only the leitmotif of the artist, but also of the hotel: Guests will find large-scale paintings on the theme of ballet in every room. Works by the artist are also on permanent display in the Michelin-starred EDVARD restaurant.
