With a variety of culinary highlights, a festive ambience, wellness offerings and exclusive gift ideas, whether to treat yourself or others, the legendary Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin will once again transform into a magnificently decorated festive fairytale setting from late November. The hotel will feature reindeer sleighs, a life-size Christmas teddy bear and other photo opportunities. While the scent of cinnamon from the Christmas markets fills the air, this iconic hotel at the Brandenburg Gate, radiantly illuminated by thousands of lights, invites guests to enjoy a five-star Christmas programme in true Adlon style. Guests can also reserve a decorated Christmas tree for their ‘home away from home‘.
A musical highlight of the Advent season is a gospel choir that promises to give listeners goosebumps and inspire joyful sing-alongs. On three Advent Saturdays, 5, 12 and 19 December, from 14:00 to 16:00 each day, the choir’s captivating voices will enchant the Lobby Lounge & Bar during Adlon Afternoon Teatime, filling the space with the magic of Christmas. In a spectacular performance, the choir will also sing from the balcony above the main entrance, sharing the message of peace through gospel classics with the crowds gathered on Pariser Platz. Weather permitting, the Adlon team will serve champagne and fresh oysters on the terrace beside the hotel entrance, alongside homemade Adlon Stollen and mulled wine served in Adlon mugs, which guests can keep as souvenirs.
‘Our Adlon festive offers reflect the character of our individual hotel facilities and their specialities,’ says Sebastian Gassen, Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage at the historic hotel. ‘We very much look forward to presenting Adlon in its glamorous Christmas attire to travellers and Berliners alike once again, as all our offers can be booked with or without an overnight stay.’
Bel Etage – Festive elegance for the whole family: In the heart of the hotel, above the Elephant Fountain, the pre-Christmas season is celebrated with the famous Adlon Advent Afternoon Tea, also available in a vegan option upon request. (Aperitif from 19:00; EUR 585 per person, including a wine pairing carefully matched to each course.)
Before dinner or after a stroll through the Christmas market, Adlon offers luxurious retreats. With festive floral arrangements and Adlon souvenirs, including a plush elephant wearing a bellboy’s cap, the Adlon Flower Atelier & Boutique celebrates the season. Handcrafted traditional Advent wreaths, festive floral arrangements and gift ideas such as Adlon Stollen presented in a wooden box (250 g for EUR 16) and Adlon gift cards, redeemable for all hotel services and also available online, offer inspiration for bringing joy to loved ones.
Those wishing to get creative can join an expert-led workshop on 28 November to design their own personalised Advent wreath.
