On March 30, the Red Bull Air Race World Series presented in the Kempinski Corvinus’ Regina Ballroom the Corvus Racer 540 airplane that Hungary’s world champion air racer Péter Besenyei plans to fly at this August’s air race in Budapest. The plane’s total length is 6,571 mm, its height 2,500 mm, its wingspan 7,400 m and its wing surface 9,0 m2. Its takeoff distance is 100 m and maximum speed 450 km/h.
Rather being presented only on video, the airplane was actually displayed in the Kempinski Corvinus’ Regina Ballroom. It was delivered in pieces to and assembled in the Regina Ballroom in the course of the night, for three hours.
This was possible after the main entrance’s recent remodelling and the size and technical capacities of the Regina Ballroom. The film chronicling the process is available by clicking here.
The Corvus Racer 540 presentation again consolidates the market position of the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest as a leading venue to host unique and extreme events.
