Peter Walter Jr. "I was born in Lajosmizse, October 6, 1977. I have already got familiar with photography and the camera in my early years since there were many photographers in my family. During my studies I got attracted to motion picture as well therefore films and photography play equal role in my life. My photos are rather documentalists but I prefer playing with lights and shadows as well. A couple of years ago I was lucky to live in New York for a while. It was very determining for me since New York is a goldmine for a photographer. I returned to the city a couple of times since it can be beautiful and intimate as much as be cruel and gloomy. I have used black and white films from the beginning so it was very obvious how I wanted to capture and then show the Big Apple. |
The pictures of the exhibition are a selection of the past 3 years. The photos were taken with an analogue camera and I personally developed each and every picture in my own lab. I’m very delighted that you could come to my exhibition which portraits MY New York and which hopefully shows you a different angle on the city (even for a little while.)"
The exhibition at the Kempinski Gallery is open from January 11, 2010 to March 10, 2010.
