Contemporary, icy cool interiors to be unveiled at the award-winning hotel

Dubai, October 2014 - Kempinski Hotel Mall of The Emirates will unveil 118 fresh, refurbished guestrooms early November as part of the hotel’s refurbishment programme.

The unique location of the hotel, attached to Mall of the Emirates and Ski Dubai, means guests can enjoy views of both the chilly ski slopes and the sunny warmth of the Arabian Gulf. It is a perfect mixture between hot and cold, which was also brought into the new interior design of the rooms.

From the moment guests step through the door, they will be charmed and captured by interiors that ooze contemporary design and that are mixed with Arabic touches, paying homage to the region and its incredible success over the years. The sharp lines and ice-blue silver of the abstract paintings, cushions and cosy sofa in the living room add a touch of cool ambience to the rooms while the bedrooms are furnished with elegant silver bedding and modern crystal chandeliers, bringing a feeling of close proximity to Ski Dubai’s winter wonderland. The Arabic touch is felt through the patterned textures in the room and through the bed’s elegant headboard, adding a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The bathroom exudes luxury with large tubs, rain showers and exquisite finishing, making this the perfect place to relax after a busy day of shopping at the mall or business meetings.

In line with the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and focus on smart technology, technology has been made a key feature of the refurbished rooms. Each guestroom is equipped with an iPad, allowing guests to be one click away from controlling their television, ordering room service, making a restaurant reservation, booking a spa treatment and accessing Mall of the Emirates information and live promotions to make their stay even more enjoyable and convenient. Future plans will even see the iPads being able to control the room’s curtains, AC and lights.

The room enhancement completes the third phase of the refurbishment programme, which started in 2012 with the revamp of the hotel’s chic lobby lounge, Aspen by Kempinski. The hotel has since modernised the lobby and doubled the size of the driveway, while also opening the authentic Spanish restaurant Salero Tapas & Bodega and partnering with Vindemia to open the Fann-A-Porter art gallery.
