An immersive and inspiring adventure for nature lovers of all ages, The Green Planet is Dubai's very own enclosed, vertical tropical rainforest. Contained inside a bio-dome at CityWalk, guests of Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates are just 20 minutes from this incredible attraction.
A natural wonderland
A recreation of the world's oldest living ecosystem, over 3,000 plants and animals call The Green Planet home. A man-made, life-sustaining tree is at the very heart of this new world, where temperatures are kept between 25°C and 27°C. Humidity is set at 75%, and visitors will find sloths, tree boas, parrots, porcupines and so many more amazing animals and exotic birds roaming freely inside.
The Green Planet has four levels, each imitating a different environment of a natural rainforest. The 'Canopy' is based near the roof, where plenty of butterflies and birds like to rest. Below is the 'Midstory', the central layer where large leaves blossom to absorb as much sunlight as possible. The final two levels are the 'Forest Floor' and 'Flooded Rainforest' - here, things are dark and humid, and you will find tortoises, frogs, fish and all kinds of creatures enjoying the warmer temperatures.
Guests are free to take in Green Planet at their own pace, and you will find experts on every level – it is a great educational day out for families.
Tickets can be purchased up until one hour before closing, with The Green Planet open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday to Wednesday, and 10am to 8pm Thursday and Friday. For children aged 3 to 12 years, tickets cost AED 70. Adult tickets cost AED 95.
