As Chief Operating Officer, Middle East and Africa (MEA), Timur Sentuerk is responsible for delivering the Kempinski Group’s strategy within the MEA region. In his role, he focuses on driving long-term hotel profitability through operational excellence while supporting the opening hotels in the region. 

In his capacity, Timur oversees a vast portfolio of over 21 managed properties in the Middle East and Africa, a fast-growing region of strategic significance for Kempinski. He is a Member of the Management Board of Kempinski Hotels S.A.

Timur is a strong hospitality leader who brings a 
30-year impressive track record of delivering operational and financial performance within iconic hospitality brands including Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Oberoi Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Pan Pacific Hotels Group and Langham Hospitality Group.

He joined Kempinski in 2022 as Chief Operating Officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa from his last role as Chief People Officer at Pure Data Centres Group in Dubai, a private equity-related firm where his mission was to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery, operations, and internal management process, with a strong focus on human capital and quality. Prior to this, Timur held the position of Senior Vice President Operations at the Langham Hospitality Group where he focused on leading and optimising operations across the company’s global portfolio. 

In 2024, Timur took the lead of the Middle East and Africa region considering the substantial development pipeline and the increasing support needed in the region.

A German national with a Turkish cultural background, Timur received his early hospitality education in Germany where he got his degree in Hotel Restaurant Management.
