What are the check-in and check-out times?

• Check-in is available from 15:00 on the day of arrival
• Check-out is required by 12:00 (noon) on the day of departure

Early check-in and late check-out are available for an additional charge, which can be selected during the online booking process. In case your room is not ready yet, you may use the hotel facilities on a complimentary basis.

What transfer services does Kempinski Palace Engelberg offers? 

We offer a transfer service for up to 6 persons from Zurich Airport in a Mercedes V-Class. Flight details with arrival time are required. Kindly contact the hotel directly to guarantee the limousine service in case you are arriving within the next 48 hours.

Do you offer ski transfer? 

During the ski season we offer ski transfer free of charge from the Kempinski Palace Engelberg to Titlis valley station, Brunni and Klostermatte.

What are the arrival options?  

You can easily reach the hotel by car, train, plane and helicopter. Find below further details to each of the options:

Arrival by car

From any direction, follow the A2 motorway and take the Stans-Süd exit, then continue along the main road to Engelberg. Please note that on Swiss motorways there is a toll to pay (CHF 40 per year). You can park your car for CHF 30 per night in the hotel's underground car park or for CHF 25 per night on the outdoor parking. There are 110 paid parking spaces, of which 20 are equipped with electrical charging stations and 7 wheelchair-accessible parking spaces at your disposal, all directly accessible by lift. 

Arrival by train

Travel from Zurich or Lucerne to Engelberg on the "Zentralbahn" railway. The journey from Zurich takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes and the train station is just 100 metres from the hotel. The hotel is just 100 metres from the train station.

Arrival by plane

There are a wide range of scheduled flights arriving at Zurich Airport (ZRH) from destinations around the world. The closest airport for private jets is Buochs (BXO), just 20 kilometres away. There is a heliport only 300 metres from Kempinski Palace Engelberg.

Is the road open all year?  

Yes, the road to Engelberg is open and accessible all year round.

What parking facilities are available at Kempinski Palace Engelberg? 

We have an underground parking with 110 spaces available, including 20 spaces with electric charging stations and seven wheelchair-accessible spaces that are accessible by elevator. The price is 30 CHF per day including valet service.

What are the breakfast hours, and what does the breakfast offer include? 

The breakfast hours are from 07:00 till 10:30 during the week and till 11:00 on the weekend. We serve the best of local and regional products along with international breakfast classics. It is a buffet breakfast with some a la carte options (no surcharge). Our newest addition to the menu is Dubai Chocolate Pancakes. 

What vegan and vegetarian dining options does Kempinki Palace Engelberg offer?

We have thoughtfully crafted a variety of exquisite vegetarian and vegan dishes across all of our dining experiences in Cattani, Palace Bar and in-room dining. For instance, our Burrata from Marbach with tomato emulsion and mint is a guest favorite. 

If you have something specific in mind, please let our team know and we would be delighted to create a custom dish just for you. Our dedicated culinary team is always on hand to provide recommendations and ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.

Are pets welcome and are there special services for them? 

Yes, dogs are very welcome in some areas of our hotel. The additional cost for a dog is 50 CHF per day and it includes a dog bed, bowls with treats and a dog toy.

What room categories do you suggest for a family? 

We can accommodate up to 4 guests in some of our room categories (Premier Room, Junior Suite, Titlis Suite, Belle Époque Suite, Park Suite), however there is also a possibility to have connecting rooms. All our rooms are non-smoking rooms, however it is permitted to smoke on your balcony. We invite you to visit our terraces or exclusive Cigar Lounge where our guests can choose from exquisite cigars.

What are the spa opening hours, and what facilities are available?

• Pool Area: 08:00 to 22:00 
• Sauna Area: 09:00 to 21:00 
• Fitness Centre: open 24 hours

We welcome our little guests from 08:00 to 18:00 in the pool area. The splash hours are from 13:30 to 15:30.
