tradtion and culinary delight
Chef Pâtissier Michael Stahl was inspired by the marvellous Alpine mountains and created the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden house cake.
The Eckerbichl Torte is a personal homage to the Berchtesgaden region. The finest layers of fir honey buttercream, wild cranberry compote and chocolate cream with mountain gentian, covered in exquisite hazelnut dacquoise melt on the palate - let yourself be tempted by the sweet treasures of the Berchtesgaden Alps!
Enjoy a slice of the popular Eckerbichl cake in the lobby or directly by the crackling fire in the fireplace bar for EUR 8 per slice. Or choose your favourite piece from a variety of homemade cakes and tarts directly at the cake counter in the Kaminbar.
Our tip: If you wish, you can also take your own personalised Eckerbichl cake home with you as a souvenir for your loved ones. The whole cake is available for EUR 52, packed in a wooden box. Please note that the in-house patisserie needs one day to prepare the cake.
