Alpine Flower Garden

A Great Botanical Diversity
in Kitzbuehel
Alpine Flower Garden

More than 300 plant species from all over the world make the Alpine Flower Garden a unique botanical sight. According to experts, the garden is one of the most beautiful in the Alps. In an area of around 20,000 m² at a height of 1,880 meters, it gives impressive color accents to the breathtaking alpine panorama.
The alpine flower garden is well signposted with information boards and not only native plants have roots there. Also botanical specialties from all countries are now in this unique garden. This is the work of Eva and Toni Hofer, who have been responsible for the care of the magnificent alpine terrain since 1985. The two have traveled around the world to settle rare plants from the Caucasus, the Andes, the Pyrenees or the Himalayas.
