With its medieval village centre, Kitzbühel is a real feast for the eyes - and in good weather you can wander through the streets with their exclusive shops or simply enjoy a cappuccino in the sun. The Kitzbühel Museum recounts important events in the town and tracks the development of winter sports in the region. Alfons Walde is an artist from Kitzbühel - and his works can also be seen in the museum. If you prefer to be out in nature, you are spoilt for choice with everything right on your doorstep: hiking, cycling, rafting, golf and, in the winter season, the full range of winter sports.
Our personal highlights are:
Be the first on the top of the Kitzbüheler Horn and enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the Loferer Steinberge mountain range. Every Sunday from July till September Kitzbühel's Hornbahn cable cars bring you up on the mountain top where the sunrise is accompanied by traditional wood-wind melodies. The following rich breakfast at Horngipfel Haus completes this perfect summer morning.
