Budapest, 21 November 2024 – Blue Fox The Bar, one of Budapest’s best-known hotel bars, has been given a new look after 11 years of operation on the ground level of Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest. From the overall concept to the most minute detail, the redesign introduces a new look, logo, interior design and updated menus.
Erzsébet Square’s vista is dominated by the local Ferris Wheel, which is in clear view from the Bar’s patio. The Ferris Wheel is also featured in Blue Fox’s new logo, highlighting The Bar’s unique location in the heart of Budapest. The symbolism of the wheel suggests more than just the view - it represents the cycle of life, which now shapes and inspires Blue Fox The Bar’s menu selections.
The new menu starts with food items and continues with Champagne, wine and spirits, followed by a separate ‘signature menu’ featuring nine cocktails. Inspired by the cycle of life and nature, this cocktail menu is divided into three stages of fruit and vegetable growth: seed, bloom and harvest.
“Our ‘life cycle’ cocktails aside, we will continue serving popular classics like the Basil Smash, Martinis and Old Fashioned in our signature Blue Fox style and quality. The spirits selection has also expanded, featuring agave-based tequila and mezcal, which we believe are the next big trends in bar culture. As a tribute to bar history, we encourage guests to try famous cocktails such as Ernest Hemingway’s favourite, the Daiquiri, made with any rum brand of their choice”, says Balázs Molnár, Creative Beverage Director.
Blue Fox’s kitchen offers more than just nibbles; it prepares dishes ideal for casual dinners. The menu features comfort food with complex yet approachable comforting flavours, including burgers, tacos and even steaks - dishes universally enjoyed in hotel bars worldwide.
Aiming to be an exciting meeting point not only for the international clientele of Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest but also for locals, Blue Fox strives to offer a more sophisticated experience than what is typically found in most hotel bars. With its inviting patio and unique ambience, it’s an ideal spot for social gatherings. On Fridays and Saturdays, Blue Fox offers live musical entertainment, featuring DJ sets and performances with vocal and instrumental accompaniment on its mini-stage.
As a prominent player in international bar culture, Blue Fox The Bar is a must-visit for cocktail aficionados. Blue Fox also hosts workshops led by world-renowned mixologists to train local bartenders, and these master bartenders showcase their own signature cocktails during guest shifts to the wider public.
