About the Budapest Wine Festival

Hungary’s Premier Wine Event   

Each September, the historic courtyards of Buda Castle become the setting for Hungary’s most prestigious wine gathering, showcasing over 200 exhibitors from the country’s finest wine regions — from the great white wines of Tokaj to the bold reds of Villány and Eger. The Wine Festival has grown to become one of the most prestigious and popular professional events and gesamtkunstwerk festivals to promote the culture of wine consumption.

When and Where?  

The Budapest Wine Festival 2026 takes place between 9 and 12 September 2026 at Buda Castle. The festival runs across the castle’s courtyard and terrace, with tasting sessions, master classes, and live cultural performances throughout the day and evening.
