Repositioning of the Sales Team

Berlin, 21 January 2025 — Following Germany’s most exclusive New Year’s Eve celebration at the Brandenburg Gate, the start of the new year at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin could not be more exciting. The world-famous hotel is repositioning its management team with the internationally experienced sales expert Stefan Lechner as the new Sales & Marketing Director and the innovative and creative PR all-rounder Lisa Voget as Marketing Manager, forming an ambitious tandem.

“With Stefan Lechner and Lisa Voget, we are delighted to welcome two passionate experts in their particular fields to our hotel team, who bring with them a wealth of ideas from an extensive international career respectively a diverse PR agency context,” says Karina Ansos, Managing Director of the Adlon. “I am confident that, with their experience, expertise and dynamism, both will enthusiastically continue to develop the success story of our iconic hotel.”

Lechner will focus on increasing the Adlon’s global presence, driving sales growth and managing dynamic market demands. Leading an 18-strong team from the Sales, Marketing and Groups & Events departments, the British lifestyle enthusiast has left his long-time adopted home of London to bring his comprehensive hotel expertise to Berlin. Before moving to the river Spree, the Austrian-born hotelier spent three years as Sales Director for THE Dilly in London, successfully repositioning the hotel. Numerous well-known hotels have already benefitted from his talent for building high-performance teams and fostering fruitful long-term customer partnerships.

“I feel honoured to be part of this special team at the legendary Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin. My vision is to further strengthen the hotel’s outstanding reputation by driving innovative sales and marketing strategies, creating unforgettable guest experiences and ensuring that the Adlon remains a shining icon of the luxury hotel industry on an international level,” says Stefan Lechner about his new role.

The 41-year-old began his career in 2004 as Assistant Bar Manager at Hotel Du Vin Tunbridge Wells in Kent, remaining with the hotel for three years as Reservations Manager. He then moved to Hotel De Vere Devonport House in London as a Sales and Event Coordinator. As European Corporate Sales Manager, Lechner later took on international account management at De Vere Venues. Further professional roles took him to the former Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, where he acted as Cluster Director of Sales for the London city hotels, and to Meliá White House Hotel as Director of Sales. Most recently, he held the position of Area Director of Sales at Dorsett Hospitality International. Alongside his professional achievements, Lechner has been actively involved in promoting diversity and inclusion in the hotel industry, co-founding the platform ‘Checking-In: The Hospitality LGBT+ Network’.

She also handled influencer and brand PR for various the Coca-Cola Group brands, as well as the conception and campaign management of other PR clients, including budget planning and events.

“As a PR specialist, I am passionate about innovative communication and creativity, which I look forward to combining with the strengths of the outstanding Adlon marketing team.
