Lovers of haute cuisine are invited to reserve the evening of 2 November 2025 for an exceptional culinary experience at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin. On this special Sunday, Jonas Zörner (32), Head Chef of the Michelin-starred Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, and Heiko Nieder, Culinary Director at the Swiss luxury hotel The Dolder Grand, will present guests with a six-course menu of extraordinary refinement at Berlin’s most iconic address.
This exclusive dinner marks the continuation of the successful ‘4-Hands-Dinner – Lorenz Adlon & Friends’ series, through which Jonas Zörner invites his favourite chefs from distinguished Michelin-starred restaurants to collaborate with him on selected Sundays throughout the year.
‘It is a great honour that Heiko Nieder has gladly accepted my first invitation for this elaborate cooking duet,’ says Zörner. ‘During one of the most formative years of my career, I had the privilege of discovering his award-winning two-star culinary artistry in Switzerland. His advice was also instrumental in my decision to take over the prestigious kitchen of Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer and gave me great confidence,’ he adds.
Guests can look forward to a menu featuring three courses from each chef, combining the highlights of their distinct culinary philosophies to create a seamless and indulgent dining journey. From his two-Michelin-starred restaurant ‘The Restaurant’ at The Dolder Grand in Switzerland, which boasts 19 Gault&Millau points, Heiko Nieder will serve Kingfish Hiramasa – Ike Jime with tomato, plum, aji amarillo and coffee as the first starter. This will be followed by tender Turbot with an elegant French dressing and a premium A5+ Wagyu Fillet accompanied by autumnal cabbage, sesame and soothing kimchi.
To complement these creations, Jonas Zörner and his team have tailored their own three dishes to ensure a perfectly balanced menu. The first course, Wild-caught Sole from Brittany, filled with bouchot mussels and topped with Imperial caviar in a champagne and mussel sauce, delights the taste buds. Another highlight is the Raviolo filled with goose liver, truffles and guinea fowl, crowned with a delicate truffle cap and finished with a luscious Albufera foam sauce. Inside, the pasta conceals a chicken and truffle consommé that gently flows onto the plate when cut, offering a surprise that showcases exceptional craftsmanship.
These refined courses embody modern luxury, presenting light, precise and elegantly balanced flavours. Both the sole and the dessert highlight the subtle acidity characteristic of Zörner’s culinary style. For the sweet finale, Chef Pâtissier Stefano Martinelli presents a delicate cassis creation with green apple, pecan and full-bodied Valrhona Dulcey chocolate, offering a melt-in-the-mouth, light yet satisfying conclusion.
Before dinner, both chefs will welcome guests personally with an aperitif in front of the restaurant, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Under the leadership of Restaurant Manager Oliver Kraft, recently named Germany’s Host of the Year 2025 by Der Feinschmecker magazine, Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary, blending refined hospitality, confidence and precision. Together with Head Sommelier Hans-Martin Konrad, winner of the ‘Grand Selection Award – Winelist’ 2025, who has expertly curated wines from his extensive list of around 1,500 vintages, the service team ensures an evening of exceptional culinary harmony – attentive, elegant and exacting.
Born in Germany in 1972, Heiko Nieder trained at the famous Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg. His first cookbook, ‘Heiko Nieder – The Restaurant’, was met with great success in 2021. His much-anticipated second book, ‘Private Dining’, will be available on 28 October 2025.
The event begins at 18:00 with an aperitif, followed by dinner at 19:00. Reservations may be made by emailing [email protected] or by calling +49 30 2261 1959. The full experience, including all accompanying wines, beverages and coffee, is priced at EUR 565 per person.
A few weeks later, on 22 November 2025, Jonas Zörner will bring the spirit of Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer to the winter mountains of Bulgaria for another four-hands dinner at Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, the Adlon’s distinguished sister property.
