FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, established to promote responsible management of the world’s forests.
FSC provides an internationally recognized standard-setting system, as well as trademark assurance and accreditation services.
Amongst others, it guarantees that products originate from forests that take into account bio diversity and the maintenance of eco balance throughout production and re-forestation.
Protecting the environment is a key element of the Kempinski Corvinus’ corporate social responsibility policies. The hotel continues to be an enthusiastic early adopter of the latest developments, especially when they have an effect on reducing paper consumption. Last autumn the hotel pioneered paper waste management in Hungary by introducing an interactive iPad wine list in its Restaurant Giardino. In line with the hotel’s green policies, use of paper, and subsequent waste, has decreased.
