20 years of tradition and innovation Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest 1992-2012
The Kempinski Corvinus was the first five-star luxury hotel in Budapest, and the first Hungarian member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It has consistently been committed to redefining contemporary luxury, and continues to offer some of the most spacious rooms in town, 326 rooms and 33 suites, and a wide, unmatched range of travellers’ services, some of them unique, to both its business and leisure guests.
The hotel was also amongst the first joint-venture hotel, and was the first hotel to collect art. Its contemporary Hungarian collection is exhibited in the rooms, suites and public areas. It remains an avid collector, and continues managing the Kempinski Gallery to show cutting edge talent in regular temporary exhibitions. The Gallery is open round the clock.
Recently, the Kempinski Corvinus has added further innovative features to its service offerings. Opened last year, Hungary’s very first electric vehicle charging station operates on the hotel’s premises. The Kempinski’s Restaurant Giardino was the first in town to introduce an interactive iPad wine list. The Kempinski Corvinus is also home to Central Europe’s first Nobu, the new style Japanese restaurant.
The hotel showcases its culinary excellence in the Restaurant Giardino and the Lobby Lounge & Bar, while the ultra-chic Kempinski Terrace and F•L Bar & Terrace are open on the pedestrianized Fashion Street from April till October. The Kempinski Corvinus menus feature the most creative cuisines of the world, including the very best from the Hungarian kitchen: from old favourites to new gourmet treats, from quick bites to fine dining rituals, complete with a comprehensive wine and drinks list.
The Kempinski Corvinus operates its own Asian-accented Kempinski SPA, which offers a selection of the latest fitness equipment, Asian massage therapies, Phytomer beauty treatments, and sensory diversions such as sensation showers, heated pool, saunas and a health bar.
The MICE department of the Kempinski Corvinus has a dedicated team of meetings professionals to manage events as diverse as installing a small aeroplane in a meeting room, conferences, weddings, balls and private parties. The hotel boasts an ideal location in downtown Budapest, several flexibly separable venues and a ballroom, with state-of-the-art technology, world-class catering, sufficient room capacity, and a committed as well as creative banquet team to guarantee success for all events.
The MICE department also manages outside catering in any location. From venue to menu, the Kempinski Corvinus meetings and catering services provide expertise in banquet concepts, organization and management to fit all kinds of events and suit all taste buds.
