Here you will find Munich's second landmark, the neo-Gothic new town hall with its elaborately decorated façade. The Glockenspiel (chimes) in the tower which plays every day is world-famous. Also located directly on Marienplatz are the Fischbrunnen (fish fountain) and Mariensäule (Mary's column).
