2016 DUSA Oktoberfest at Kempinski Hotel Suzhou
DUSA Oktoberfest was held at Kempinski Hotel Suzhou at the hotel’s outdoor Lakeside Garden from 21 to 24 September 2016. More than 2,500 beer lovers flocked to the city’s largest beer festival, and more than 3,000 L of freshly brewed Paulaner Bräuhaus beer was consumed. General Manager Mr Gerhard Bosse kicked off the evening with a traditional beer barrel opening, and shouted, “O’ zapft is”, together with our celebrated guests and brewmaster Christian. The band Iggy Stone & Alpenrocker played during the glittering event, bringing the crowd to life with their fun performance.
As Suzhou’s first microbrewery and German restaurant, Paulaner Bräuhaus at Kempinski Hotel Suzhou has been well recognised in this market for its German ambience, authentic Bavarian cuisine and home-made, freshly brewed beers.
“Oktoberfest is a popular autumn celebration. It is a way to practise the spirit of ‘Gemuetlichkeit’, whereby the joy of the harvest and fellowship are celebrated with friends and neighbours,” said Mr Bosse. “This unique event provided guests with the opportunity to take part in one of Europe’s most popular traditional festivals.”
