Support of BE Health and Autistic Thai Foundation

Bangkok, 27 September 2023 – Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is proud to continue its empowering collaboration with BE Health, a corporate social responsibility initiative of Kempinski Hotels to develop and support the lives and health of the community through its Glocal campaign (Thinking Globally While Acting Locally).

BE Health, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, aims to educate and empower individuals to protect themselves against communicable and non-communicable diseases through personal behaviour alteration and early disease detection. Its mission is about much more than just providing health services; it’s about instilling the principles of self-protection and prevention against a host of diseases. Be Health collaborates closely with individual Kempinski Hotels to build prevention initiatives framed by quality monitoring and evaluation standards.

Building upon the success of BE Health’s global activities since 2013, Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok launched its own project in 2022, choosing to collaborate with the Autistic Thai Foundation. Established in 2005, this public welfare organisation is devoted to helping individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, focusing on challenges such as cerebral palsy disabilities and the development of autism disorders in children with special needs. All funds raised by Sindhorn Kempinksi through the BE Health initiative will support the foundation’s noble cause.

This year, Sindhorn Kempinski is raising funds through the sale of a limited edition plushie of its mascot. Embracing its deep connection to Thai culture, Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok chose the elephant, Thailand’s national animal, as its mascot. Named “Nong Sindhorn”, the mascot encapsulates the hotel’s commitment to societal welfare and Thai heritage.

The special edition cuddly stuffed toy elephant, dressed in a grey and yellow polo T-shirt, is priced at THB 499 and is available at the hotel’s reception counter from September 2023. All proceeds from this BE Health fundraising initiative will go to the Autistic Thai Foundation, which will use the money to improve and enhance the lives of autistic children and their families.

Through this endeavour, Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok solidifies its reputation as a luxurious destination and an institution that believes in giving back. By partnering with BE Health and supporting the Autistic Thai Foundation, the hotel showcases its commitment to enriching lives and fostering a healthier, more inclusive future for all.
