Experience the refreshing taste of Thai summer with our signature Khao Chae set by Executive Sous Chef Chatsorn Pratoomma and culinary team at Flourish restaurant, Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.  

Over the centuries, this cooling meal evolved from a delicacy served only to royalty into a seasonal favourite enjoyed by many to fight off the heat. Sindhorn Kempinski preserves the regal elegance of its presentation while honuring the traditional dishes that allow diners to relish refined Thai flavours served with chilled rice.

Delight in fragrant jasmine rice, khao ob tien (rice smoked with a scented candle) gently soaked in chilled aromatic water to create delicately layered flavours. The set is perfectly paired with classic accompaniments and an array of other delectable side dishes including:

• Kapi Balls: deep-fried bite-sized balls of shrimp paste
• Stuffed Shallots: deep-fried shallots stuffed with caramelised fish
• Stuffed Banana Chilli: banana chilli stuffed with minced pork and shrimp wrapped in fluffy egg
• Caramelised Dried Turnip: pickled turnip stir-fried with palm sugar
• Shredded Pork or Beef: caramelised shredded pork or beef
• Yum Mamuang Goong Sieab: green mango salad with crispy shrimp
• Assorted Vegetables: rhizome root, green mango, spring onion and cucumber
