Chinese Master cook Chef San joined the Kempinski team during the grand opening of Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai in 2013, bringing with him plenty of experience in the world of Asian cuisine.
Before his time as head chef at our Suntime Century Chinese Restaurant, Chef San developed his skills over the years in many hotels and restaurants, carrying a passion for the highest quality possible in his cooking. Having previously worked at the Huating and Ritz-Carlton hotels in Shanghai, Chef San has learned to incorporate traditional European and modern styles in his cooking. Observing customer preferences to improve his work, he loves to mingle with his guests after every service, listening to what they have to say.
Now a fully-fledged part of the Kempinski family, Chef San creates innovative Chinese dishes based on traditional styles, working to make the customers aware of his sincerity and perception of excellent Chinese food.
