A ground-breaking innovation for the global events industry, EventCalculator empowers planners to accurately measure the environmental impacts of an event before it takes place and take proactive steps to reduce its carbon footprint. Building on assessments undertaken as part of the EarthCheck certification and VenueCheck verification processes, EventCalculator can accurately estimate a venue’s energy, waste and water usage based on the scale, duration and nature of each event.

By integrating this data with projected emissions from transportation, accommodation and food consumption, EventCalculator delivers detailed insights into each event and highlights opportunities for meaningful impact reductions.  

The process provides organisers with accurate and verifiable emissions data that assists in reporting* and regulatory compliance in line with globally recognised benchmarks including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Reporting Guidelines and ISO 20121 standards for Event Sustainability Management Systems. 
 

* Fees for the Carbon Footprint report as indicated in the contract will apply and be charged by the respective participating hotel on the master bill.
