Biking tour across Parenzana
Did you know that statistics show that there are almost 500 km of cycling routes in Istria? These trails vary in difficulty and length and can always be modified and adjusted to suit your needs and the needs of your group. The most known cycling route is the historical route of Parenzana, one of the most popular cycling routes in the whole of Europe. The long and rich history of the Parenzana trail starts with a railway; at the beginning of the 20th century, this path was once used for a picturesque train ride between Trieste and Poreč, but was closed after only 30 years of operation due to the higher travel speed of other means of transport. The significance of Parenzana and its importance in connecting three countries (Italy, Slovenia and Croatia) has remained ever since. Nowadays, the route represents the favourite outdoor activity for many locals and is widely visited by passionate hikers, cyclists and lovers of the outdoors.

Hiking routes include numerous options, with easy, medium and difficult. Hike towards the salt pans of Sečovlje and enjoy the one-of-a-kind nature of the natural reserve, or decide on an uphill walk towards the white cross above the town of Strunjan and follow the educational signage trail of local park Strunjan, rewarding yourself with a mesmerising view of Moon Bay.
