Sail for a good cause
The Kempinski Hotel Bahía supports the philanthropic regatta Rose of Charity Sailingcup in October. Celebrities of the German television get engaged along with the German association for bone marrow donation (DKMS Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei)
Estepona, October 2014 – The Kempinski Hotel Bahía sets sails with the Rose of Charity Sailingcup from the 26th to the 31st of October in the Costa del Sol.
Celebrities of the German television such as the famous actress Ursula Karven sail for 4 days between Estepona and Gibraltar in favour of the German association for bone marrow donation (DKMS Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei). The Kempinski Hotel turns into a base camp for the regatta hosting celebrities, sponsors, organizing staff and German TV producer ARD. To be part of this sail regatta and good cause, register on the webpage www.roseofcharity.com. Participations and individual reservations for this regatta are available from 598€ per berth and from 2950€ you can charter your own boat.
The group price including Skipper is 478€. Participants can also compete with their own boats. Each participant of this regatta register in advance as donator of bone marrow or contributes 50€. According to the tastes and enthusiasm for adventure of each participant, it will be possible to choose between a luxurious hotel room and a rustic berth on boat to sleep. The stay in a superior room in the Hotel can be booked for 120€, a transfer will be organized to take the participants from the Hotel to the harbor and vice versa.
The 26th October starts with some practice and the participants will be given their numbers and explained the instructions.
In the evening, there will be a welcome party with a charity dinner. Some of the celebrities will cook and serve the food during the charity dinner, helping the Chefs of the 5-star Hotel.
The 27th and 28th will be the first days of regatta. The boats sail from of Estepona to Gibraltar and come back.
The 29th October is “Layday”, a day ashore, ideal to rest in the subtropical gardens of the Hotel, indulge in the newly renovated Kempinski Spa, and get some strength for the decisive days of the regatta on 30th and 31st October.
The prizes will be awarded on 31st October in the Kempinski Hotel Bahía.
Rose of Charity Sailing cup:
The sponsors and official members of Rose of Charity Sailing cup are MADAME, the fashion & lifestyle magazine, and CITROEN’s DS brand. Kempinski Hotel Bahía is the official Hotel of this philanthropic regatta. Several celebrities of the German television visited the Hotel in May to find the Skipper of the sailboat and to train for the October regatta. The purpose of this event is to support the German association for bone marrow donation and increase the number of donators. The team of the TV space BRISANT of the first German TV channel ARD accompanies the celebrities from the beginning to the end of the regatta.
