Eurhodip Congress Seville 2017
Pedro Hidalgo, Director of Human Resources at the Kempinski Hotel Bahia de Estepona, attended the gala dinner of the Eurhodip 2017 Congress held at the headquarters of Fundación Cajasol in Seville on Saturday 28th October. After the event Mr Hidalgo commented that it was “very beneficial as it gave us an opportunity to meet and share ideas with a wide range of the top hospitality schools.”
Pedro Hidalgo, represented the Kempinski Hotel Bahia de 5* Gran Luxe, alongside representatives of other hotel chains such as Meliá Hotels International and Hospes Hotels to enjoy this excellent event.
Eurhodip Conference Seville 2017 is an important international event which brings together more than a hundred of the most prestigious training centres in the tourism, hospitality and gastronomy. From the 26th to the 28th of October it brought together over 250 people including prestigious representatives of hotels, as well as teachers and students from schools and universities of hotel management and tourism, from more than 20 countries. They focussed on developing more effective business methods and how these could be applied through education and training.
The event was held at the Escuela Superior de Hostelería de Sevilla, which was awarded the prize of the best hotel school in Europe by Eurhodip. The award was presented as the culmination of the Eurhodip Congress, which brought to Seville personalities such as the coordinator of the PISA Report, Andreas Schleicher, or the former president of the European Parliament, Enrique Barón, among many others.
Other award recipients included Miguel Villegas, who in his extensive professional career in the field of tourism has been director general of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía, Director of Economy and Tourism of the City Council of Seville, among other outstanding positions.
Eurhodip also wanted to acknowledge the contribution of Andreas Schleicher, coordinator of the PISA report and director of education at the OECD, Germany, who is considered to be a global authority in the field of education.
