On 27 June 2026, Kempinski Hotel Nanjing, in partnership with Shuman Music · Steinway Educational Partner Studio, presented ‘Sunset Serenade · Gilded Music Concert’, an evening of live music, at Fangmo Terrace Garden on the hotel’s fifth floor. Set against the evening sky and city skyline, the concert brought together live music and the warm glow of the setting sun, creating a memorable experience for guests.

 

The concert marked another meaningful chapter for Kempinski’s signature cultural initiative, Kempinski Concertini, in Nanjing. Launched in 2017 to mark the Group’s 120th anniversary, the initiative transforms hotel spaces into stages for emerging local musical talent and encourages cultural exchange within the communities where Kempinski hotels operate. To date, Kempinski Concertini has been presented at Kempinski properties in cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Berlin.

 

During the concert, young musicians from Shuman Music · Steinway Educational Partner Studio delivered a captivating performance, presenting a selection of classical and contemporary pieces. As the music filled the terrace in the golden light of the setting sun, the melodies mingled with the evening breeze, bringing youthful inspiration and classical tradition together in a memorable musical dialogue. This interplay of music, light and setting immersed the audience in an evocative and artistically compelling journey.

 

At the conclusion of the concert, the management of Kempinski Hotel Nanjing presented certificates to the participating young musicians in recognition of their dedication and passion for music. The gesture also served to encourage more young musical talents to pursue their artistic aspirations.
