Arival of Spring at Kempinski Palace Portoroz
Portorož, Slovenia – 10 April 2017 – The traditional Easter market in the park in front of the Kempinski Palace Portorož is expanding and renaming this year to the Spring market. Join us and taste the local specialities! To celebrate the arrival of spring, there are numerous events happening and celebrations occurring, along with the attractive offers.
Spring is the time of rebirth and the time of regeneration and rejuvenation. Nature is coming back to life and with it too the delicious tastes from the ingredients grown in the home garden. Take a stroll through the Spring market in the park of the Kempinski Palace Portorož and experience the delicious tastes and flavours of the local Istrian produce. Taste the delicious local olive oil, taste the Istrian sweet bread and reward your child with a tasty cakepop; a mix of lollipop and cake.
On the Easter weekend there are a number of activities for children offered, starting with the Chocolate workshop and Easter egg hunt. On Easter Sunday, 16 Aprl 2017, from 11am to 1pm, join us on a chocolate workshop in the hotel Lady saloon and let your child pursue their creativity. Further, at 1pm the children will be able to take part in the traditional Easter egg hunt, happening in the park of the hotel. There is no fee for participation and there really is an amazing day prepared for the youngest ones.
All culinary lovers are invited to taste the Istrian culinary highlights prepared at the restaurant Sophia with its new Spring menu and the restaurant Fleur de Sel with the Istrian lunch offer, both menus created by the new executive Chef Daniel Pause. At restaurant Sophia, taste the 8-course degustation menu of EUR 85 per person or the 5-course vegetarian degustation for EUR 40. At the restaurant Fleur de Sel, opt for an Istrian 2-course lunch, which includes the local specialty, Istrian fusi with truffles.
The Market will be open from 14 to 17 April 2017, from 21 April to 23 April
2017 and from 27 April to 2 May 2017! Opening hours are: Friday between 2 pm and 8 pm, Saturday, Sunday and holidays between 11 am and 8 pm.
