Easter Celebrations at Ciragan Palace Kempinski
2016-03-03; You are likely already aware that there are two Easters: Western Christian and Eastern Orthodox. But do you know that Istanbul is the center of the Eastern Orthodox Church? The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate Istanbul has been the spiritual center of the Greek Orthodox world since around 1600. In fact, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople could be considered the Vatican of the Eastern Orthodox Church.
Fittingly, Istanbul is also known as the land where East meets West. So take advantage of the blended culture and come celebrate your own Western traditions in an Eastern Orthodox setting! And where better to do this than a former Ottoman palace, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, located on the shores of the magnificent Bosphorus. From traditional Easter egg hunting in the hotel’s gardens to high tea accompanied with custom-made desserts, the five star luxury hotel is offering deals, activities and goodies galore this Easter.
