Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center Appoints Daniel Leibssle as Executive Chef

Beijing, 6 February 2023Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center has appointed Daniel Leibssle as the new Executive Chef, overseeing the hotel’s four restaurants, one acclaimed bakery and delicatessen, and two lounge & bars as well as its extensive events and banquets concept and operations. Chef Leibssle will lead the 130-people culinary team to focus on food quality and authenticity, and to rejuvenate the entire hotel dining experience with new food concept and menu design.

With more than 30 years of experience in a number of Michelin Starred restaurants and world-class luxury hotels in Germany, Italy, United Kingdom and China, Chef Leibssle describes his cuisine as the authentic flavors with modern twists inspired by diverse food culture.

I have been in China for quite some time, and as long as you are in the hotel industry, you would know this hotel was the benchmark for food and drinks since it opened its door 30 years ago.” said Chef Leibssle. “Yansha Center has so many reputable and established dining venues including Paulaner, Kempi Deli, and the brunches and holidays at Signature’s. My goal is to work together closely with my team to go back to the basics, focusing on quality, authenticity, as well as creativity, to bring the dining experience to the next level and make the property the preferred destination loved by local residents as well as travellers.”

Chef Leibssle joint Hyatt Hotels China since 2011. Prior to joining Kempinski Hotels, he served as Executive Chef in Hyatt Hotels China for 7 years, including Park Hyatt Shanghai and Hangzhou.

Born in Germany, Daniel Leibssle holds a Master Craftsman’s Diploma for Culinary from Hotelfachschule in Heidelberg, Germany. Besides his mother tongue, German, he speaks fluent English and Italian.
