Trachten- and Schuetzenzug

Trachten- and Schuetzenzug

Traditional Costume and Marksmen Parade

Traditionally on the first Sunday of the Oktoberfest, a colourful procession of regional costumes and old-fashioned German shooting clubs makes its way through the inner city of Munich.

Lead by the “Münchner Kindl”, the coat of arms of the city of Munich, the procession starts at the Maximilianeum, passes right in front of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, crosses the Residezstraße, along the Opera House, across the Odeonsplatz to its final destination: the Theresienwiese. Historical as well as international costume groups, marching and fanfare bands are part of this lively spectacle.

Would you like to have a prime spot on 22 September 2024 to experience the procession up close?

Then be at the hotel’s entrance at 9.30 hrs and enjoy the Bavarian delicacies buffet with beer and champagne from one of the high tables - EUR 225 per person.

Start: 09.30 hrs
Estimated end: 13.00 hrs

Be part of the typical German start to the Oktoberfest!
