ARRIVAL
Whether you travel by car, train or plane, you will always arrive comfortably at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich:

  • From Munich International Airport, you have two choices to get to the hotel: either by taxi (duration: approx. 45min/EUR 65) or by S-Bahn (inner city train). Take the S8 until the stop Marienplatz. Here, choose the exit Dienerstraße. Walk down the Dienerstraße until you reach the Maximilianstraße and turn right. Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski will be on your left. It’s a short five-minute walk from the Marienplatz to the hotel. (Ticket: EUR 10.80. Choose a single ticket for the whole public transport network Einzelfahrkarte Gesamtnetz.)
  • From the main train station, you can take tram no. 19 in the direction of St. Veith Straße. After only a few minutes, you will reach the stop Nationaltheater. Disembark and it is a mere two-minute walk from the stop to the hotel.

LOCATION
You will find Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich on the Maximilianstraße, an elegant boulevard in the very heart of Munich, conveniently located amid designer boutiques, art galleries and theatres as well as the imposing Bavarian State Opera House.

The official language in Munich is German, but most of the Germans speak English as well.

CLIMATE
Munich has more rain and snow compared to other German cities, due to its location close by the Alps and its higher altitude. The best time to visit Munich is in spring from May till June while temperatures are not too warm and are very pleasant.

OPENING TIMES of Munich’s shops and boutiques
Most of the shops and boutiques in Munich are open between 8:00am and 8:00pm. This might vary and in order to avoid disappointment and inconvenience, we recommend that you contact our concierge team for the exact opening times of the shops you would like to visit.

SMOKING POLICY
Since 2010, smoking has been forbidden in closed areas when they are open to the public. This means it is forbidden to smoke in restaurants, public buildings, offices and on public transport. For smokers, Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich offers the cosy Kempinski Cigar Lounge in the lobby.

GETTING AROUND DURING YOUR STAY
If you would like to use the public transport network during your stay, a day pass for the inner city area is usually sufficient. Choose “Tageskarte Innenraum”.
