Since its foundation in 1858, directly on Maximilianstrasse, the boulevard in the heart of Munich envisioned by King Maximilian II, the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich has been a symbol of luxurious hospitality. Built at the monarch's request as the ‘noblest hotel in the city’, not far from the royal court, it was a novelty at the time, welcoming guests at any time of year. The historical guest books bear witness to visits by European kings and noblemen.  

Immerse yourself in the world of the newly renovated Ludwig Suite, one of Europe's most exclusive presidential suites in the heart of Munich. It was created as a tribute to King Ludwig II by renowned designer Colin Finnegan. Inspired by Ludwig's magnificent palaces, the 220 square metre retreat combines the finest materials, custom-made furniture and artistic details in three bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms and elegant living areas with a view of Maximilianstrasse. As a total work of art, the suite transports the spirit of the Bavarian fairytale king into the present day. Optionally extendable to the ‘Ludwig Wing’, it offers maximum privacy and flexibility for the highest demands.

Marienplatz is a five-minute walk from the hotel along Maximilianstraße. Guests arriving by public transport can take the S-Bahn or U-Bahn directly to Marienplatz station and walk to the hotel in five minutes, or take tram no. 19 to Nationaltheater stop — a two-minute walk from the entrance.
