Dresden, October 2025 – Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden is once again delighted to welcome guests to its enchanting and luxurious winter Alpine Chalet. Following its resounding success in 2024, the 2025/26 season has been significantly extended and will now run for the first time from October 2025 through February 2026.
‘The premiere of our Alpine Chalet last year was an overwhelming success, clearly demonstrating how Alpine cosiness perfectly complements the baroque elegance of our hotel. We are very pleased to extend the season this year, giving our guests even more time to enjoy the warm and indulgent atmosphere’, says Marten Schwass, Managing Director of Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden.
From 10 October onwards, visitors can look forward to authentic Alpine cuisine, featuring cheese and meat fondues alongside Bavarian classics served every weekend in October. Whether it’s a traditional Weißwurst breakfast or an evening ‘Almbrettl’ featuring fine ham varieties, freshly baked bread, Obazda cheese spread and pickles, every dish captures the essence of alpine comfort. This refined culinary experience is complemented by a carefully curated selection of exquisite Austrian wines.
A true highlight is the ‘Bergperle Champagne Fondue’, where champagne is added directly to the fondue, imparting a distinctive aroma. Guests also enjoy a glass of sparkling wine alongside their meal. The experience is further enhanced by the exclusive porcelain crafted by Meissen specifically for Hotel Taschenbergpalais, adding an unmistakably elegant touch to every table.
With its inviting alpine ambience set against the historic courtyard backdrop, the Alpine Chalet has quickly become a beloved highlight of Dresden’s winter season. The chalet is also available for private and corporate events for up to 45 guests from October to February. Its interior, featuring dark wooden tables and warm, atmospheric lighting, offers an exceptional alternative to conventional meeting spaces, fostering a relaxed and convivial mood. Bespoke experiences such as live music or guided tours through the hotel can be arranged upon request.
As a true winter gem in the heart of Dresden’s Old Town, the Alpine Chalet promises indulgent moments in a setting unlike any other – a must for those wishing to experience Alpine tradition paired with refined Kempinski hospitality.
