Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden Celebrates 14,000th Event Guest Since 2024 Reopening

Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden - Meeting room

Dresden, May 2026 – Surrounded by the Baroque architectural beauty of the Old Town, the historic Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden offers a distinctive atmosphere that provides the perfect backdrop for conferences, meetings, anniversaries and private events. It is therefore no surprise that this tradition-steeped establishment is welcoming its 14,000th event guest this May, following its grand reopening in February 2024.

As individual as the event guests themselves, the professional events team at the Taschenbergpalais demonstrates equal flexibility in bringing each guest’s wishes and ideas to life. Across a total of nine function rooms, the ideal setting can be created for any occasion. Options include the grand Kurfürstensaal (Elector’s Hall), the magnificent salons on the Bel Etage and the majestic inner courtyard.

A particular highlight is the house chapel, which, with its impressive ceiling height of nine metres and a gallery, is suitable for a wide variety of occasions. For more unconventional requests, the events team collaborates closely with local event planners, enabling partnerships with some of the most beautiful meeting and event venues in Dresden and the surrounding region.

As an alternative to conventional meeting rooms, the rustic Almhütte (Alpine Hut) is available in the inner courtyard of the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden from October to February. It can be reserved for exclusive team events in a cosy, rustic setting. Depending on guests’ preferences, authentic Alpine cuisine, such as cheese and meat fondue, is served.

Located just a few minutes’ walk from historic landmarks such as the Dresden Zwinger and the Semperoper, the city can be effortlessly explored during short breaks between event sessions. Owing to the central location of the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden, multi-day events can be further enhanced with day trips to the picturesque Elbe Sandstone Mountains or to one of Saxony’s traditional manufactories, such as the world-renowned Meissen Porcelain Manufactory.

The requirements for events have changed significantly. There is a growing demand for experiences that are relevant, meaningful and sustainable,’ explains Sarah Richter, Assistant Director Groups & Events. ‘Every organiser seeks to give their event a distinctive signature – and that is precisely why we create the right spaces and experiences.’

From the initial vision and planning through to execution, the hotel’s professional events team supports guests with long-standing expertise, working collaboratively to create unforgettable moments that become part of their personal history.
