April, 2023 – In an important milestone, Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea has achieved Bronze Benchmark status through EarthCheck, the world’s leading business advisory group specialising in sustainability and destination management for the travel and tourism industry.

“This achievement proves that we are dedicated to preserving our unique destination, the Dead Sea, as well as our planet Earth. Our ongoing programs aim to support our environment, people, and community, and the prosperity of our reach will be further enhanced to have a better impact on the three pillars we are committed to preserving and maintaining,” said Mr. Sebastien Mariette, Cluster General Manager and Area General Manager for Kempinski Levant Region.

To avoid catastrophic climate change, the world needs to limit the global temperature increase to 1.5 degrees centigrade above pre-industrial levels.
