Hangzhou is located close to China’s southeast coast, in the lower reaches of the Qiantang River and at the southern end of the Grand Canal (Beijing - Hangzhou). As the capital of Zhejiang Province in East China, Hangzhou is 150 km from Shanghai and is at the centre of the Yangtze River Delta.
