Accra, 5 May 2025 – As part of its 10-year anniversary celebrations, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City reaffirmed its commitment to community wellness by partnering with the National Blood Service Ghana to host a successful blood donation drive.

The initiative, held on the hotel premises, saw enthusiastic participation from team members across all departments, who came forward in solidarity to donate blood and give the gift of life. This compassionate act reflects the hotel’s enduring values of care, service and corporate responsibility to its community.

‘As part of our 10 Acts of Kindness initiative in celebration of a decade of excellence, we wanted to go beyond festivities and make a meaningful contribution,’ said Melissa Bediako, Director of Sales and Marketing at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra. ‘Partnering with the National Blood Service Ghana allowed us to align our celebration with a cause that touches lives and strengthens communities.’

Mrs. Sophia Blankson of the National Blood Service Ghana expressed her appreciation stating, ‘We are truly grateful to Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City for their initiative and partnership. Blood donation is a lifesaving act and seeing an institution of this calibre commit to such a noble cause inspires hope. Every unit donated today can save up to three lives.”

The event not only highlighted the spirit of generosity among the Kempinski Accra team but also reinforced the hotel’s vision of luxury with purpose – a philosophy that embraces community upliftment as a core element of its legacy in Ghana.

This milestone marks one of many initiatives planned throughout the year as the hotel commemorates ten years of delivering exceptional hospitality in the heart of Accra.
