Accra, 11 March 2026 – Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra successfully hosted the third edition of its signature International Women’s Day (IWD) programme, bringing together industry titans, academic partners and future leaders under the theme ‘Give to Gain’.
A highlight of the event was the welcome address by Silvia Rajniak, the first female general manager of the hotel. She emphasised that the programme has evolved from a simple dialogue into a cornerstone of the hotel’s social impact strategy, creating a sanctuary for female excellence in Ghana.
'Standing here as the first female general manager of this flagship property, I am a testament to the barriers we are breaking together', she stated. 'This year’s theme," Give to Gain", is a symbol of encouragement that when we offer mentorship and support to others, we build a stronger collective future.'
The third edition featured three high-impact panels: The Power of Presence: Navigating Authority and Influence, The Power of Visibility: Strategic Branding and Recognition and Redefining Success: Balancing High Performance with Holistic Wellbeing.
The panel discussion featured an esteemed line-up of thought leaders and industry trailblazers, including Silvia Rajniak (General Manager, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra), Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah (Founder and CEO, Stratcomm Africa), Miguela Beecham (Banking Executive, United Bank of Africa), Kezia Sanie Kermah (Founder, The Future of Ghana), Oheneyere Gifty Anti (Ghanaian journalist and CEO of GDA Media Ltd), Barbara Amissah (Director of Human Resources, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra), Yvonne Botchey (Managing Director, World Trade Center) and Salim S. Wangabi, a licensed professional and clinical psychologist.
During the session, a past attendee shared how the insights gained at the previous year’s event inspired her to apply for an internship at the hotel, where she is now gaining professional experience. Her story served as a living example of the event’s mission: providing young women with the visibility and mentorship needed to launch their careers.
Distinguished guests and students from Ashesi University and Accra Technical University engaged in a vibrant exchange with panellists, including Guest of Honour Dr Beatrice Wiafe (President and Founder, Breast Care International).
As the programme enters its third year, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra continues to solidify its role as a bridge between corporate excellence and youth empowerment in Ghana.
