Accra, 10 February 2026 – In commemoration of World Cancer Day, themed ‘United by Unique’, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra visited breast cancer patients and survivors at the Peace and Love Hospital.
During the visit, the Kempinski team spent time engaging with patients through interactive games, conversation, and shared experiences, reinforcing the importance of emotional support alongside medical care. The day also included a shared lunch, allowing patients and the team to come together in a relaxed and supportive environment that encouraged openness. The atmosphere was further enriched by the presence of Akua’s Mama Zimbi, an award-winning actress and television and radio personality. She shared encouraging stories of resilience and reminded patients that a breast cancer diagnosis is not a guarantee of death, but a journey that can be faced with hope and strength.
Adding an uplifting touch, DCOP Kofi Boakye led a song ministration that brought moments of comfort, followed by words of inspiration that resonated deeply with patients and caregivers alike.
The visit forms part of the hotel’s flagship BE Health Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, which focuses on health advocacy, education, and patient support. Through BE Health, Kempinski Accra has maintained a longstanding partnership with Breast Care International, supporting its mission to promote early detection, treatment and sustained care for individuals affected by breast cancer in Ghana.
Commenting on the initiative, Ms Silvia Rajniak, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, said:
‘Through BE Health and our continued partnership with Breast Care International, we remain committed to standing with patients, raising awareness, and offering support where it matters most. On World Cancer Day, we are reminded that while every cancer journey is unique, compassion and solidarity unite us all and together we can fight cancer.’
Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra remains dedicated to using its platform to support meaningful causes that positively impact lives, reinforcing its commitment to community wellbeing, advocacy, and care.
