Ghana’s climate is tropical, with hot temperatures all year round, ranging between 22 °C and
35 °C. There are two main seasons, with the rainy season occurring in summer and the dry
season (Harmattan) in winter, mainly due to the African Monsoon winds.

A moderate dress code is highly recommended, especially in busy areas and public places.
It is considered courteous to welcome foreigners with a warm smile and greet elderly people.
However, greeting with one’s left hand is often regarded as improper.

Nationals within ECOWAS member states can travel to Ghana without visa requirements.
Generally, members of other nations must possess a passport valid for at least six months
and may require a visa for entry. An international certificate for vaccination of Yellow Fever
must also be presented at immigration. For more information, visit
