Our recommendations

Auracher Höhenweg
Ca. 3h, 10 km
The start of the hike is directly at the hotel. You follow the Kitzbüheler Straße for a short distance
and then turn left into the Schnaitlgasse. At the fork in the road, turn into the Bärenbichlweg and
follow this further uphill, past the Bärenbichl inn. Then follow the path over a wooden bridge to the
Haberbergweg, which leads you along typical Tyrolean mountain farms in the face of the Hohe
Tauern and especially the Großvenediger. At the end of the Haberbergweg you either follow the
Traidlweg to the left to get to the Auwirt inn, or to the right back to the hotel. The Traidlweg back to
the starting point finally leads you via the Gigglingweg and the Schwerterweg back to the Kitzbüheler
Straße.

Sintersbacher Wasserfall
Ca. 2,30 h, 7 km
The hike to the Sintersbacher waterfall is an experience for the whole family. The waterfall is a place
of power, from an altitude of 1,300 m the water masses plunged 85 m over rugged, rocky terrain into the depths. The hike begins at the Schradler parking lot in Jochberg. Here you follow the path along the Sintersbach stream through the wooded valley until you reach the waterfall. Once at the waterfall, you can cross the Sintersbach and are particularly close to the natural spectacle here. Continue straight on, and you will finally reach a fork in the road. Here you can climb up to the right to the Wildalm, which invites you to a nice stop before you follow the forest path downhill back to the starting point.

Pengelstein
Ca. 8 Stunden, 23,5 km
For the Pengelstein hike, you start at the hotel, follow the Kitzbüheler Straße for a short distance and turn left into the Schnaitlgasse. Then you cross the Saukaser bridge and turn left into Martengasse, which leads you further uphill. During your hike you will cross forests, walk along the Saukaserbach stream and finally meet the Josef Kreidl Hütte. From there, the forest is replaced by a field and meanders its way further up the mountain until you reach the highest point, the Pengelstein at 1935 m.
Then follow the path via the Hochbrunn Alm to the Fleckalmbahn mountain station and from there to the Hahnenkamm. Once at the Hahnenkamm, follow the Streif hiking trail down into the valley.
