Dalian Weather

Dalian, located in the North Temperate Zone, is the warmest place in northeast China, and experiences the continental monsoon climate with maritime characteristics.

Thanks to the ocean, the giant natural air conditioning, there is no steaming heat in summer or freezing cold in winter.

Dalian has an annual average temperature of 10.5 ℃, the frost-free period is 180-200 days, and rainy season is from June to August. The annual precipitation is 550-950mm; due to the ocean adjustment, there's more rain at night than in daytime. There are 90-140 days a year with wind of Beaufort-scale 6 or higher in coastal areas, and 30-50 days in the heartland. The sunshine hours are lowest in winter, highest in spring, and more in autumn than in summer.
