Budapest, 21 March 2025 — Krisztina Szalmás’ exhibition ‘Eternal Flower’ opened in the Promenade Gallery on the ground floor of Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest and can be seen through the end of May 2025.
Krisztina Szalmás, born in Miskolc and based in Budapest, began her career as a classic portrait photographer. In the past couple of years, she developed a deep and passionate connection with flowers: the diversity of their shapes, colours and textures; their endless variety and breathtaking transformations opened up a new artistic world for her flower portrait photography.
“With flowers I feel boundless peace, purity and strength at the same time. I enjoy the beauty and elegance they radiate in every moment, in every phase. In my pictures, the flowers show themselves, their shapes and texture intact, and their colours appear based on my personal feelings and emotions,” says Krisztina. “With my pictures, I want to stop the viewer, even for just a moment. I want as many people as possible to feel the wonder that lies within flowers, captivating both the eyes and the soul. As a photographer, I am inspired by the ephemeral existence of flowers, their transient beauty, constant transformation and incredible diversity. My goal is to create something lasting from their fleeting presence.”
Krisztina Szalmás has participated in several group and solo exhibitions since 2021 in Budapest as well as in Barcelona and Minneapolis.
