The Lady in Red was conceived as a distinctive figure to embody Kempinski's elegance. During a 2008 general managers’ meeting in Jordan, at a brainstorming session in Wadi Rum, the concept began to take shape – born from a desire to enhance guest relations beyond traditional roles and inspired by the image of a stunning red haute couture dress. 

Stephan Interthal, General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, played a key role in bringing this idea to fruition, aiming to create a globally recognised yet locally relevant character.
