Moscow Tea Ceremony at Hotel Baltschug Kempinski

Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow - Restaurant

Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow is taking part in the ‘Moscow Tea Ceremony’, which celebrates traditional Russian tea culture.

Choose your favourite tea: black, green, herbal or spicy sbiten (a traditional honey drink). Each tea is served with homemade raspberry, blueberry and blackcurrant jams, fresh pastries – including incredibly soft sayki buns and aromatic krendeli (pretzels) – as well as marmalade and handmade chocolates.

The signature chef’s étagère makes the Moscow Tea Ceremony a truly festive experience. It presents a gastronomic journey through the flavours of old Moscow with a modern twist. Chef Andrey Kagokin has created original canapés to accompany the tea: vol-au-vents with red caviar, blini canapés with pike caviar and foie gras pâté on Borodinsky bread with lingonberries. Also featured are beef tongue roulades with mustard, canapés with lightly salted salmon and, for dessert, lemon tartlets, delicate mini éclairs, handmade truffles, macarons and fresh fruit.

Guests can enjoy these traditional pastries and a curated selection of teas at Café Kranzler and the Lobby Lounge Bar from 12:00 to 20:00.

Set menus are priced at RUB 2,000 (includes tea, pastries, butter, jam, marmalade and handmade chocolates) and RUB 8,000 (includes the étagère with canapés and sweets). Orders for the étagère must be placed at least two hours in advance.
