Kempinski Hotel Bahía Announces the Return of Its Traditional Christmas Market
Estepona, 8 November 2022 – Kempinski Hotel Bahía will celebrate its annual Christmas Market and Christmas Tree Lighting on 3 December, with a little help from Father Christmas!
This year’s event will be an extra-special one as it’s the first that the five-star beachfront luxury hotel has hosted since 2019, and it promises to be an exciting day from start to finish. The Kempinski Christmas Market began in 2010. It has been a firm favourite amongst the locals of Estepona and the surrounding areas, and it’s often remarked that ‘Christmas time begins with the Kempinski Hotel Bahía Christmas Market!’ This year, there will be even more stalls than before, including those selling handcrafted artisan items; gourmet products, such as chocolates, wines and olive oil; art; jewellery; Christmas decorations for the home; traditional seasonal sweets and gingerbread men; the ever-popular Kempinski Stollen cake; mulled wine; hot chocolate; and street food, along with an abundance of festive spirit. As well as all that, the gingerbread house will make a return to the lobby along with a visit from Father Christmas and, of course, the traditional switching on of the Christmas-tree lights at dusk.
From 16:00 till 20:00, Father Christmas will be waiting to receive and hear all the children’s Christmas wishes. There will be choirs performing all the traditional festive songs during the day, and children will be able to attend a cookie-decorating workshop and sand-art workshop and visit a Father Christmas letter-writing area before giving their letters to Father Christmas to take back to the North Pole.
As always, this market is dedicated to raising funds for local charities, and as well as having stalls from charities at the event, the hotel will make its annual donations to a number of charities which were not able to attend.
The Kempinski Christmas Market launches the festive season at Kempinski Hotel Bahía with daily Christmas-themed High Teas in Black Rose The Bar and a Christmas Eve family dinner, as well as the famous Christmas Day buffet with live music, a visit from Father Christmas and, of course, New Year’s Eve.
